there is indeed no other car like the C4 on the roads at the moment (for the price tag) If I parked a DB9 or Carrera GT at Tesco's then I would expect a crowd...

When me and Ham went to a local car meet we parked next to each other. Both cars where sprakling and they drew quite a big crowd of people, mainly around the VTS but we dont talk about that :D

Me and Rich have had an in depth discussion about how much the Astra VXR likes to kill people and how to improve its handling by putting castors wheels on the roof. all productive stuff that!! clearly me and hm have had nohing to do at work today ;) I am currently photoshopping wheels on the roof of a VXR...back soon

I'm pretty sure it doesnt mate, MotoGP is mid August I believe its a couple of weeks before the F1 at Silverstone. I dont mind who we go as to be honest. I had a look at the C4 owners forum and it looks a whole load better. If you do manage to get discounts then I will definatly pay to join. I did notice that you a whoring your modding skills over there to Wozza :(

he went for a dark grey in the end. Now he waits til May for delivery as each one is built to order. It is funny some of the options he paid for are standard kit on VTR+'s such as the reactive rear view mirror and auto wipers and lights! You are paying for the engine though to be fair to Audi. I cant wait to drive it!

I like the look of the VXR!! you could fit some castor wheels on the roof bars so you could carry on with your journey when it flips...

thats a good point Rich! as for the A-D you may well end up at F as you will be going far to fast to stop in time for D as you didnt specify uprated brakes so you have the ones of the Astra estate. Dont most VXR's end up upside down before they reach B in anycase as they are far to powerful for a lot of people who drive them??

tell you what, it looked awesome on the back of the recovery truck. Its the first time I have seen it at "eye" level. Did'nt think of taking any pics as I was taken back by the colour of the Ka. I dont mind if its hard to keep clean, dirty cars look good I have decided. I would want to see one in the metal if at all possible as the colour chart on the Citroen website is shockingly poor even on a properly colour balanced monitor. The Oriental Blue looks nothing like the pics on the site. I am really stuck for choices... Silver-not a chance Black-would have to offered more money off but is an option Iridis-winning at the moment Red-dont like it that much and the insurance is more. Green-nasty! thats about it...I have been looking at the Audi RS4 brochure (friends just ordered one), C4 colours are very limited in comparison. It would definatly be a VTR+. I was going to buy one from the start but bizzarly I was talked out of it by the saleswoman. More poke+more toys=good stuff!

Vauxhall decided not to get rid of the Torque steer from the VXR to make it more interesting...maybe it would make the commute to work a bit more hairy fighting the car not to go into hedges!

yes I will most probably go for another C4. I took the VRI extra insurance thingy out so I will get more back than what I paid for it and the fact of the matter is there simply isnt another car that has the style of the C4 let alone the toys. I think it will have to be a 1.6 VTR+ as there is £2000 cashback offers through January so I can afford it. Just need to decide on colour :( couldnt decide last time, I had to roll a dice on it!. Iridis is high on my list... The Ka isnt bad, its just not a C4...

seems to be the general opinion from other motorists is awe. Which is nice :( I do like the idea of having a C4 with as much torque as an M3 though!! Go on Lee you know you want too!

cars been gone a week now and the estimators cant decide whether to fix it or not. KFK could you have a check and see if the side panel for a Coupe is available to purchase and a price as this is going to be the telling factor if the car is coming home, if you dont mind obviously...

I keep looking at Tomtom's. I suppose dangling cables is something you have to live with if you want to move it from car to car...

I personally wouldnt want to stray to far away from a known manufacturer. I know Michelin and Pirelli are reliable. there are loads of other decent firms out there but I dont know their reputations.

ooof!! The tyres are more expensive than the wheels!! mine needs 3 new wheels and tyres whilst it is at the bodyshop. Thats nearly 900 quid on wheels before they look at the bodywork!! I am going to drive like a granny if the tyres are coming in at about £140 a pop :blink:
