  1. Mine is Roy Tolley, Citroen main dealers in Colchester. No complaints with them at all. Family owned buisness, not part of a large group.
  2. Looks maintainence free to me. mainly because you can't get the top off. As long as it don't get overcharged it will be ok.
  3. Well good luck with your battle Pam! Hard to know what to do with cambelts, this issue became relavent in about 1970 with the 2litre Cortina 'Pinto' engine. It was, I think, the UK's first belt driven ohc. Ford did not specify a belt change interval but it soon became clear a change was needed every 30k miles to be safe. My new HDI 110 specifies a belt change at 160k miles, or 100k with 'severe' use(whatever that is)so presumabley the belt is made of carbon fibre or summat.
  4. Hi John! I have an HZ in the VIN no. not an HY so I guess its all in order. Cheers for that mate! ;)
  5. This might sound like a silly question, I've outed my old 70bhp 1.9d Berlingo & Ive now got a new 110bhp hdi XTR Berlingo. but how do I know I aint been ripped off & its actually an hdi 90bhp engine? obviously its faster than my old one but I dont know how much faster it should be. Ive looked all round the engine & I cant find any identifing marks to say it a 110. All the paperwork of course says its a 110 but how do I actually tell difference between a 90 & a 110. I'm guessing there will be a clue in the engine number but I have searched the net & failed to find any info, Does anybody know? Cheers.
  6. Belated merry Christmas to all & happy new yr! Berlingo's 4 in April & less than 40k miles, so, yeah, that'll do another year.
  7. Secondhand cars hold their value for much longer in France, a mid 90s car here is worth only £100s here with a full mot, but in France the same car would be worth £2k at least, the price of new Citroens is higher in France as well & they only have 1yrs warranty not 3. As for headlamps, modern plastic lenses should not have tape or benders stuck directly to them. It causes the lenses to overheat around the tape & hairline cracks will appear in time. If you must have benders get some plastic headlamp protectors from your main dealer & stick the benders on them. I would have thought the proof is in the eating. if you can drive on a busy unlit French N road & nobody flashes you up then your headlamps are ok(& legal)without benders.
  8. Just had a look at mine, with bonnet up there are several arrows on a sticker & some on the top edge of the plastic lens, most towards the(UK)kerb. I find with mine tho that it has symetrical beam pattern on dip with 2 points of light to the UK nearside. But I find I dont need beam benders on the continent. I drive on unlit French N roads regularly & nobody flashes me up at all so presumabley I'm not dazling anybody. Maybe the headlights on a UK spec Berlingo would past the French CT.
  9. Well if you want a Berlingo you have to buy a Citroen really because nobody else makes them, apart from Peugeot. The only alternatives, VW Caddy, too expensive. Ford Connect Tourneo too big(smaller car version not available in UK) Vauxhall Combo, window version not available in UK, Diabolo, too ugly, Kagoo, too small(& its a Renault)
  10. If you want to know what any of these forum abreviations mean, just put it into Google & all will be revealed-------IMHO!
  11. If its been serviced at your Citroen dealer it will probably have been filled with Total Quartz 7000. You can buy this at any Total filling station.
  12. I emailed Citroen UK some while ago about this-regarding my Blingo 1.9d & they said their policy at the moment was to allow up to 30% Biodiesel/diesel mix
