  1. Hi CoastlineTaxis and Paul 2003, 2.0 HDi I will get the VIN in the morning as it is parked up on a hill round the corner. V5C is in some PaperWork ;) Here is some additional info while-u-wait Particulate Filter was replaced around 9 months ago. It was cleaned out the other day for £30 apparently. That together with a new pully and belt @£150 @Paul the eolys fluid isn't that bad in price, I can afford that, it is just a case of getting that warning reset. That will probably cost some £££ That is what I have heard anyway. HTH Paul
  2. Hi all First time post, I think? Any nonsense I am talking, please let me know. I am just furious at the whole issues I have faced Bought a car a couple of years ago from an independent dealer on eBay. 89000 ish Miles. '03 2.0 (I think) Had a few problems when I bought it, "diesal minimum additive level" being one of them. As I couldnt drive due to not passing my test, it sat there for 2 years doing nothing. Replaced the battery when I moved to a new area. All well and good. Finally passed my test after year 3 (well 1 month ago), had practice in the car and I have had problems with it since, only driven it 1087 miles since passing. Had the Catalytic converter stolen back in december which I got replaced £750 later. Anti-Pollution fault seems to come on and stay on when I accidently over rev from 3rd to 4th gear and goes away, I don't know when. Had glow plugs apparently replaced 6 months ago and the pre heater light use to come on. Now it doesn't and the garage are adamant that the fault I have with it now, is not the issue. Could they of blown? again as no preheater Around a week ago, the car wouldnt start after sitting outside the school for 10 mins and driving 16 miles to the school in heavy London traffic. Called the AA out and they plugged in the diagnostic machine and it came back saying -Glow plug relay fault. -Additive system, cannot add additive. -Additive system faulty. -Additive system tank empty -L112 Rail pressure monitoring -Anti pollution Fault. The garage said that because they cut the sensor cable to the CC, it throws that error anyway The guy said my diesel pump is fine, my garage is saying it might be the pump, it could be the fuel line blocked? Garage said I should take it to the diesel specialist in Croydon and get it properly diagnosed But what with just having a new baby, I can't really afford that yet Now each time I park it overnight, I have to be on a slight hill to roll start it. OR easy start it which I have heard; is like a DRUG to the car??? It relies on it. Sorry it is long winded and all over the place but I was trying to piece it together better :) KR Paul
