  1. So I have just topped up my LDS fluid (it took 1 And a quarter litre, the previous owner can be blamed) and there is still a bang/knock when dropping off speed bumps. Is this a classic example of lost gas In the sphere? I also notice the nearside knock is louder, maybe lower gas pressure in that side?
  2. The fact that it's also slow when opening makes me think it's more to do with the pressure in the system, not the lock. There is a positive unlocking sound when you either touch the handle or press the key fob.
  3. Can anyone explain how the system works on the mk.2 C5? Mine sometimes doesn't open. Seems like there isn't enough power in the system to get it moving. Works fine with a slight pull to "jump start" it. Any one got plans of the system? thanks.
  4. Bugger, so a diagnostic tool i.e. computer is required. That's pee'd on my parade. Cheers for the info all the same.
  5. So, I've been told you DO need a laptop to rewind the brakes and I've been told you DON'T. Can someone please enlighten me? Is it a main dealer fix or can I do it as I have with countless other brakes?
  6. I'm going to get the battery checked in work tomorrow. It's definitely the Eco mode issue as Randombloke suggested. Cheers for the help.
  7. Paul.h and Randombloke, thanks for the replies. I'd guessed it was battery related, but needed second opinions. It does indeed beep twice. I've seen the Eco mode come on very quickly when I've been sat with the car off and the radio on, literally after seconds. Could this be a sign of a dying battery?
  8. I have an intermittent fault on my 2008 tourer C5 tailgate. Some times it opens fine with key or switch under the trim and closes fine with the boot lid button. Other times the engine must be running for it to open or close. Any ideas?
