  1. I have uploaded the engine photo..so which multiplug i need to unplug and test coastline taxis
  2. Thanks for your advice Rookie2. I have very basic tools but no jack and even i don't feel confident enough to work under the car. if car needed works under the car then i take it to garage. What coastline taxis is saying seems easy for me to do but i wish if i know exactly what I have to do. I have seen those hoses..do i have to unscrew the jubilee clip to open them, or sensor of any kind around them needs unplugging? I have taken this photos this morning after driving it for 15 minutes..the coolant temperature in overhead dash board was 3bar. I also noticed that the car is consuming bit too much fuel.
  3. Thanks for your input Rookie2 and coastline taxis. are these things diyable? i neither have garage nor have car jack. which one is egr multiplug in the engine?
  4. I followed this procedure and also there were bit to much that i poured. so i sucked some out with tissue papers. Do you have any idea of vibration Rookie 2. In the morning its dreadful...but throughout the whole day it eases out.
  5. I always wanted to have the glow plugs fixed but due to having them in awkward place garage asks for lots of money...and as car was working fine I didn't bother. but if this is causing this vibration I have to look for have it fixed. I will search for videos for DIY and if you Paul or anyone knows how to do it self please give me the step by step guide. My MaxiScan is not giving me option for read the coolant temperature. I have checked the Power Steering fluid and on the gauge its at the very bottom of Minimum mark. I am gonna buy the fluid now to top up..eurocarparts told me this is the right one to top up TRIPLE QX Hydraulic Power steering Fluid (CHF 11S)GREEN - 1 ltr I will also buy brake fluid Pagid Dot4 Brake Fluid 500ml to top up.
  6. Hi Paul.h I highly appreciate your patient of answering the question in details. I have started the car this morning and before starting i have deleted the fault code as you said, So there were no freeze frame data but steering wheel as well as other components of the cockpit stated vibrating. car has stated with 1000rpm and after couple of seconds it idle at 900rpm which it always does. yesterday i have disconnected the battery fully and left it for 5 minutes before reconnecting to get the car remember default ignition. I have hoped that would sort the problem out, but not. what else i can do now?
  7. Hi Guys, In the morning when I start the car steering wheel vibrates like I am holding an electric saw. In fact its not only steering wheel, whole cockpit vibrates. this vibration goes off when i press on gas and engine becomes warm. when the car is on run, no vibration at all. so in a word car only vibrates from morning cold start which it even didn't do last week. It can not be the engine mounts as the vibration occurs only morning cold start. is there any idea? I have no Laxia3 to get the live data..but with maxiscan i have found an option to get freeze data..i am uploading them here if they can be any good to anybody to understand the potential problem with my C4 1.6hdi hatchback 2006.
  8. I am not getting any more odour after that day. reverse gear is also working fine. DMF was being changed 5 months ago. could driving in muddy, bumpy and hilly roads damage anything that can cause this issue?
  9. I didn't spray onto turbo Paul..it was through other hole where you can see bit of vapour coming out when the engine is hot and running..where the orange connector of the hose fits in. when I sprayed I couldn't feel that engine breathed in the water..so I am quering exactly where shall I spray water to?
  10. Steering wheel vibrates only in the morning when the car starts from cold engine...throughout the whole day the vibration is insignificant. but if the engine is cold or starts after a long interval it vibrates.
  11. Still I couldn't figure out where shall i spray water to. I tried to take the big hose out and sprayed through the other hole which is on top of the turbo..but couldn't see any reaction and water didn't go inside as it appeared to me.
  12. I noticed that my car's light bulbs ie. dipped beam headlight bulbs, full beam, brake lights bulb etc getting blown to quickly. last week all of a sudden my two rear light bulbs got blown and i replaced them with LED (bought from halfords costed me £20 with 5years warranty), they were already replaced with standard light bulbs not to long ago.same goes to front dipped headlight bulbs. in few months time i had to replace front low beam and high beam both. I am kind of fade up with bulb replacing.. So i am thinking what is the way around of avoiding light blown.. Can i buy LED H7, H1 for dipped beam and full beam which might give me little more longevity. Will they work as normal bulb should do.Did anybody try with these bulbs. and also I wish to fit day time running light. is it DIYable? Can anyone give me any guideline about it. thanks in advance.
  13. Steeeing wheel vibrates only when the car is stationary and before going to Snowdonia I did wheel tracking as well as replaced one tyre.front two tyres have good tread depth now..only other tyre I can think of may need changing is rear off side one.
  14. I've come back yesterday nicely and safely. the only problem i can see is steering wheel vibrate too much now a days. i dont know if it relates with any problem or just the engine decided to vibrate after heavy driving.
  15. Hi guys, thanks for your suggestions and concern about me. We had a very lovely day today...The scenic, breath-taking view of the Snowdonia mesmerised us. the steep slop, uneven, pavel, muddy road - nothing could stop the car. it runs very nicely without any problem. I don't think the clutch has any serious problem other than sometimes it doesn't properly slot in reverse gear until clutch has been pressed full. Rookie2, I'll try to get my clutch and oil leaking which you advised me in my other thread checked up once I am back to London. Tomorrow we will head back...wish us luck plz.. Paul.h, Fault code P0238 keeps coming back and going off, but I am convenienced that DPF may have throwing this code when it has got too much soot piled up in there. I got used to it now as it is not causing any problem.
  16. Hi guys,I have come to Snowdonia National Park to spend weekend away from the crowded London. Today I have been driving the car around 85-100m/pw through N Wales Expy A55. and was enjoying the boost of the car..but at the later of the day when we came to the Snowdon Mountain I was stuck in someone else's private driveway. When i tried to reverse the car it was very narrow and also up hill. so I had to really rav the car and all of a sudden there was some stinky dirty smell in the front driver seat and and back seat. the smell was in the car for long time. I was so frightened that I thought i damaged something, but after checking everything like oil, coolant, underneath of the car I couldn't find any fault. the tires were okay too. so where this burning dirty stinky smell came from, (Smell was like burning rubber and dead animal's odour) and this smell was in the car until we reached back home safely. we will still be roaming around here in Snowdonia tomorrow and day after tomorrow we will be heading back to London. I couldn't see any garage here nearby. can anyone tell me if have anything to worry about? thank you in advance.
  17. I didn't get what you meant Rookie2. Did you come up with the decision after seeing the pictures..in that case I can take the car to the garage and ask the people to check if oil is leaking or not. I show the car to a mechanic few days ago while I was doing my MOT, he confirmed me that my turbo is working fine and there was nothing wrong with the car. Smoke is being emitted due to the cold weather though i am not convinced as i din't see this smoke last year winter. Thanks Paul.h. I also think that MAF sensor is working as it should be.
  18. Hi Coastline taxis, No, I didn't change fuel filter this time, but last year I had it done and since then car ran only 10k. other thing is if MAF sensor was not the correct one then engine should give me a fault code I believe and that's what ot did when I used another one bought from ebay.the one I am using now is the original one but 2nd hand.
  19. I believe i have done this check before and didn't find any symbol of oil..but again today i took that hose out and checked. there were a drop of black oil on the mouth of the turbo (as you can see in the picture) and felt inside wall of the pipe. it appeared to me that it was bit slippery (i don't have any idea how it should be. completely dry and clean or bit of dirty water or oil) ...turbo fans look ok..and clean. I also tried to feel as much inside as possible of the turbo side of the hose and it seemed to me that there was a bit of oil inside wall of the hose. again i don't have any idea how it should be. I have uploaded some photos for you guys to have a look how i found these checks. car was left outside for couple of hours after driving around 20miles when i carried out these checks. Other thing is, there were no sign of coolant or engine oil reducing. I am guessing this smoke can be cleaning the soot of dpf but how come when the engine runs in the morning from freezing temperature and in couple of minutes it starts regenerating the dpf!!!! as far as i know soot to be cleaned way the dpf needs to be in high temperature. can it be built up carbon in the exhaust..someone said me to jetwash through the exhaust pipe. how does it sound?
  20. Thank you Paul.h for all of those informations...what about the oil and oil filter I used? because smoking started after the servicing and it only happens from cold starting and sometimes at idle..colour is whitish with burning smell.fuel additive should have finished by now as I have already driven 500miles and filled the tanks with new fuel couple of times.if there was any problem with any sensor I believe I should have fault code..but I have checked with my OBD tool..there is none except p1351 which relates glow plugs and its been there for more than six months now.
  21. Can anyone advise me please wheat can I start looking at to investigate the problem..I have done bit of research and it seems diesel car shouldn't be smoking even not in winter..if car smokes there must be sonething wrong..
  22. My Smoke problem is still there. Its definitely not vapour as i can smell burnt fuel or oil (don't know what smells what). is it possible to smoke from wrong oil or oil filter. I have noticed smoking since i have had my car serviced. I messed with MAF Sensor initially but it was replaced with correct one. So i dont think there is anything wrong with MAF now. besides there is not fault code regarding MAF which i used to have when I used wrong one. What i have had my car serviced with is Oil - Total Quartz Ineo ECS 5W30 bought from ebay for £25.49 Oil Filter - Genuine Peugeot/Citroen 1.4/1.6 HDI Oil Filter 1109AY & Washer 031340 DV6 Engine bought from ebay for £5.82 Air filter + Cabin filter bought from urocarparts Last year I did service with Oil- TRIPLE QX Engine Oil5w30 Fully Synthetic (Low Saps C2) Engine Oil 5Ltr Oil Filter - Bosch Oil Filter Fuel Filter - Mann Fuel Filter I have never seen smoke emitting from the car before. Can some expert share their knowledge please. thank you.
  23. Retro Parts Group. following is the link of the item. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181731541451?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT but next time I will try forte or jlm.
  24. I have done it..I bought another dpf cleaning product from ebay and drove the car around 14miles at dual carriage way at 4000 rev...couldn't see any black smoke coming out at the back of the car though..
  25. Can I do manually regeneration without Laxia3. I mean if i press and hold the gas pedal in full for twenty minutes while the car is in neutral will it do the job? or is it any kind of risky as the gear screen on the wheel will turn to red?
