windows 7 ultimate 32 bitIntel® core 2 duo P8600@ 2.40GHz4GB Ram , 2.96GB usableHarddisk 250GB thank is this sufficient info? my mechanic managed to figure the wiring out through trial and error really, just tried every combination possible and got the right one without any errors now, so fingers crossed nothing pops up in the next few days. I still would like to get my hands on the diagrams though it might come in handy in the future :D yikes 24 euros i think i'll try torrent first a few times and see how that goes until i get desperate! thanks for this! :D

thanks i've downloaded it but as soon as i go pass the "i accept the terms of this license" and select the installation path " it says fatal error. The installer must stop" The first time i tried installing it went up to 80% then it failed and error popped up, and my laptop froze up had to restart, but the application was there but it wasn't working properly so i uninstalled it, and retried it again. And everytime after that the "Fatal error. The installer must stop" pops up. no way of installing it. Any ideas? Running on a windows 7 32 bit.

ok found the culprit, its some dodgy wiring to the throttle body, played with the wires and it just snapped off completely, and inside the rubber the copper was all broken inside. Sent it to get rewired, tested it yesterday all working fine, went to collect it today and then it screws up again, now the car is stuck in 3rd/2nd gear emergency mode only. No errors popped up with a generic reader that the mechanic has, reckon a lexia would be able to spot the issue? The mechanic is kinda lost with ideas now and is just pointing towards a dodgy throttle body but why now when it was working before the rewire and test drove it after rewire it was fine but not today?!

ok here's a screenshot of the error still popping up every now and then, the wife has been filling up RON95 instead of 97, have a feeling that's increasing the errors but i doubt that its actually the cause of it. Still can't pinpoint what causes it, voltage is at 12v before start and 14 something after starting so no issues there. So now its the wiring or maybe my ECU? read somewhere online that a bad ECU can cause it possibly, thinking of replacing the throttle body as the TPS is built in, but don't want to splash the cash knowing i could be wrong. any ideas what should i check next or at least how do i check it? the error says "temporary fault motorised throttle, incoherence between signals 1 and 2 problem" what next?

thanks Paul, but i still don't get the register button, i think because my ip isn't from the UK maybe. Anyhow i managed to repair it, got a used abs pump frm ebay and everything started working fine again, there was no issue with the left hand sensor as shown in lexia, erased all the errors, and gearbox faults are also gone and have not shown up since. Airbag light still pops up once in a while not too concerned about that though. One more error still popping up which is the P0121 error still can't seem to figure that one out. Will continue in my other thread that has the discussion on this error. thanks! see no register button :)

hi thanks for your reply really appreciate your help on this. The bleeding wasn't done with a lexia tool, the mechanic wasn't a specialist in citroens so im guessing he just bled the brakes the old school way. i think the weather does play a role here, but its still hard to pinpoint, i would say the errors usually pop up 6 times out of 10 after a wet day. Sending it to the mechanic tomorrow to get it checked, the voltages and etc but im pretty sure im not going to get a brand new abs pump if it comes to that, is the abs pump similar to this link? >> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-C8-BOSCH-ABS-PUMP-MODULE-0265950075-581114-0-265-950-075-/122431319650?hash=item1c8179ae62:g:4X8AAOSww3tY48cN do you know where i can check for the part numbers for the c8? Also where do i refer to on the error codes? is there anywhere online that provides a list of errors and what it means? thx

ok thanks this is so strange yesterday i took it out for a spin, on initial start up the abs fault showed up but then when i drove out the light dissapeared and the auto gear fault also dissapeared and it was driving perfectly fine. today morning tested it again, gearbox fault not there anymore, but abs fault is out again and the STOP light is also up so i parked it back and left it there. There seems to be something seriuosly not right could dodgy earth wires or weak battery cause something like this to happen?

Citroen C8, year 2003, 2.0 petrol version, Automatic. Ok last friday drove the car out, ABS fault popped up, then in succession the Auto gear fault, then something like brake fault, and the airbag fault but this usually is intermittent, then car gets stuck in i believe is 3rd gear possibly as i couldn't go up the hill after stopping the car. Really annoying i wish i could burn the damn thing down to the ground. Tiptronic gears don't work as well so i cant use the +- to shift the gears. im guessing its the auto gear selector switch, as the dealer replaced it with a used part before i bought it as when i was testing it back then the +- couldn't be used, and he told me he swapped it for used part and it worked since up until now. So my guess is pointing to that however whole bunch of errors like the ABS and etc popped up. Went into lexia and found all these errors below, tried to erase them but couldn't as it says permanent errors, what do i do next im not sure where is it pointing to maybe you guys can help out here? im at a point where once i fix these issues i think im probably done and try to get rid of it as fast as i can. I really love the car as its once of the most comfortable cars i've had and its so spacious to fit the whole family in, but having it working for only half a month everytime is getting really annoying. Even my local mechanic is getting tired of seeing it. I've also got an intermittent antipollution error which is in another thread that i've yet to solve. Fyi parts that i've changed so far:- Throttle position sensor Brake master Cylinder (brakes been spongy and going deep whenever pressed on, no leaks, changed the cylinder and still the same issue so need to check other parts im guessing the ABS fault could be related here) Timing belt change, fan aux belts, water pump, oil seals. Replaced ATF fluids however it was done by a citroen specialist so they didn't change it at the required temperature so not sure how badly it would cause issues with the box. Don't think they change the gearbox seal though. This was done maybe 8 mths back. New alternator New Aircon compressor New Power steering switch (due to leakage, however i still find the reservoir loosing fluids but can't pinpoint where) Screen shots of the errors below from lexia:- What do i do next?

ok the damn anti pollution error is back again. Since my last discovery i thought that the wiring was causing the issue, but it was actually the wire that connects to the aircon compressor that causes the idle to get slightly dodgy when i push the whole bunch down, it actually was stopping the compressor which made the idle drop a little bit. So the problem was not the wiring. I've fixed the airconditioning wire since and it was fine. Right after i fixed the aircon wire, something really bad happened, my power steering pressure switch was leaking all this while little by little and pouring into the alternator and for the last 6 mths its been doing that i didn't realise it until one hot day, the alternator started catching fire and my car was basically covered in smoke, thank goodness i had a few bottles of water in the back and emptied it onto the alternator, to be honest i actually thought the car was gonna explode. Anyways sent the car back, got a new alternator, new power steering switch and voila, back to normal again, surprisingly no more idling issues, no more errors, this lasted for at least 3 mths until the last two weeks again the damn error started popping up again. This is really starting to piss me off, same error pops up P0121 error (Anti pollution error) my idle is starting to get erratic as well again. Only thing i haven't checked now is the earth cables, but i cant believe its that as the car has been fine for 3 mths so why all of a sudden its acting up again? Very close to ditching this car and selling it off really. Went through lexia saw some errors but couldnt really tell what it was and im just not really experienced enough on what i need to do when im on lexia. So what do i do now? Blow up the car and claim my insurance? B)

thanks for the help! i've figured it out after weeks of trial and error and trying to get lexia to work, i went down again yesterday and started the engine, i erased the error with lexia, and then i pushed the cables highlighted above and it died immediately the check engine light with the same error popped up. So now im very very sure it''s the wiring that goes into the throttle body. Question though, is there anywhere that i can buy that wiring loom online? Or do they not sell something like that?

thanks for all the help everything works and lexia works. I've finally found the error. its related to the wiring!! a dodgy wire was causing the issue.........

ok i manage to reformat my old laptop and got diagbox to work on the laptop now. It reads when i connect it to the obd connector. But have no clue how to use lexia, i clicked diagnostics, then test by function >> and also global test >>and then bunch of errors from different sections of the car showed up, went into each one of them but didn't really know what else to do, but i couldn't pinpoint the error p0121 issue. Any handy manual or instructions to show me how to properly diagnose the car?

aye curumbaaa.......would it work on a windows vista? I've got an old laptop on a 32bit windows vista, i'd rather just save the time than to go through reformatting or installing virtual box to be honest. If it could run on the vista then i'll that one out first.

im using a 7.65 version. Im using a windows 7, 64 bit laptop. Not sure about the hardware on my laptop though is that important? Tried inputting 9737 as well, but nothing happens still.....sigh........ thanks for the links i'll try your step by step guide again later today.

hi i finally got my lexia diagbox bought it off ebay. but the stupid thing keeps asking me for the RPO number but it does nothing after i key it in. I have two options after i key it in, Lexia and Scan tool, when i click either of it nothing happens. Just stays there. i know the sticker by the door has the RPO number i tried several different cobinations of each number there but nothing happens. Any help would be great.... .....this is the sticker below could someone tell me which is the correct number? thanks

thanks yeap im still waiting for my lexia diagbox to be delivered....sigh....taking ages to get here......... I did discover some new issues as well, my throttle pedal seems to be slightly broken, but it kinda works still. would this be one of the causes as well? is there any sensors connected at the bottom of that throttle pedal? so far i couldnt see any. http://www.shooshoomoo.com/c8/pedal.JPG and then i started messing with the cables highlighted below, at one point while the car was switched on, i pushed it and the idling just died completely then restarted again and retried it but i couldn't get the idle to die off again, which leads me to believe that possibly there's some dodgy wire in there thats causing this. Is it easy to re-wire that ? its kinda hard to trying to pinpoint which dodgy wire thats causing the sensors to go haywire cuz its all wrapped up together. http://www.shooshoomoo.com/c8/wire.JPG

ok thanks, another error popped up again, this time its the same P0121 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem but together with a new error which is this one >> P1153 Bank 2 Fuel Control Shifted Lean I've ordered a lexia-3 diagbox from ebay and waiting for it to arrive to diagnose it properly. The anti pollution error keeps coming on almost every other day after i erase the error with the generic reader. I really don't think all the sensors are busted. This is annoyingly frustrating. I kinda check some wires that i can see in the open and it seemed fine. Checked connectors as well and looks fine too.
