  1. Hi, So, first thing's first, I do not currently own a Citroen but I used to and, I am looking for it. Or, something almost identical - so much so that you could get in this car and think it was the one I used to own. I'll explain why - later on this year I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend. When we first met I was driving a Citroen C2 VTR, blue in colour, 05 plate. For what I have planned on the evening of this proposal, I want us to be driving this car so I need help in trying to find one that I can hire. Problem is - there does not seem to be a lot of these about but I am hoping someone on this forum would be able to help me (if not here then I imagine I have no chance of ever hiring one). I thought chances of finding my old car were non-existent, but I have recently discovered that the car, his name was Louis, has passed his M.O.T this year (surprising considering the dealer I part exchanged with for my new car told me he would be scrapped). As nice as it would be to track him down to his new owners and offer money for hire for a night whilst trying not to seem weird would be perfect I am open to having one just like him. I wouldn't need it until the November time but got a feeling this won't be easy so am starting the hunt now. Can anyone help? Not sure how these forums work so if you reply in any way I will keep any eye out for it. Thank you - really appreciate anyone reading this and thinking they can do something to help.
  2. Please help. My girlfriend brought a DS3 1.6 Petrol with the THP engine. We now know what a mistake that was. Had it nearly a year and, £1200 later, it’s still got faults. Barely been drivable in the year we’ve had it. The 2 main problems now are: 1) Periodically and for no apparent reason it comes up with the ‘Service’ message on the dash and ‘esp/ abs fault. Repair needed’ on the radio display. The car drives fine still. Although it’s always rough in idle. 2) There is always a smell of petrol in the car, coming from the ventilation system. I’ve read so many forums and seen others have these problems, but no answers or solutions. We want to sell the car but it’s never fault free for long enough. Its a 2012 with 67000 miles. Any help/ suggestions appreciated.
  3. Hello, I’m wondering whether I could fit a factory-like armrest on the side of the driver’s seat. Is there any chance, that the seat already contain the mechanism, which the pilot seat-like armrest goes into? Do you know where I could get one? Is changing the whole seat the only chance to get an armrest or getting an aftermarket one? Thanks for your help in advance!
  4. Hi im jon and i have a berlingo 2.0hdi,i decided to join as this is probably a good place for nerds :) Im mainly here to rattle some experts heads on my problem. I have a 55 plate berlingo van that all of a sudden has developed smoking and lack of power issues .After advice and a good tinker i have come to the conclusion that injector 3 is knackered .The berlingo runs on a siemens system if this helps ??.My question is will any siemens injector be fine as a replacement or will i have to match up the part number code 9652173780 ? Will a dreaded remap be needed to match the new injector ? any help will be much appreciated in advance
  5. Hi everyone, just joined forum this evening. Nice to meet you even if it's not face to face ! Anyways, we have an old Citroen Synergie 2001 HDI 2.0 diesel, had it 12 yrs now, was originally a people carrier for kids and their pals, now it's dog carrier / firewood carrier / friends furniture van. Never missed a beat other than a couple of small electrical blips. Corrosion taken its toll though and need a new front subframe. None readily available second hand but I know that the Synergie, Peugout 806 and Despatch van ? all similar. Anyone know for definite what front subframe might fit from other models ?. Any help appreciated, have a great weekend peeps, J
  6. hi there i would like some help please. i have a Citroen c3 pluriel. the problem is the roof has opened randomly whilst driving down road and wont shut properly now. the switch does not work properly. sometimes it opens when switched to close and other times it shuts but not fully. now it will only close or open when restarting the car.. is this a fuse problem? all the help would be great.
  7. I have a C5 LX 1749 cc (2001) While driving home late last night, I had to over take up hill. As I got to 50 mph it suddenly started to vibrate violently and become very sluggish on acceleration. Downhill would accelerate up to 60 mph, but uphill struggled. With the window open I could hear a very rough engine noise, reminiscent of old single cylinder motorcycles. This sounds like a misfire to me. Maybe only firing on one cylinder? As this happened under stress, is it more likely to be mechanical? I would be grateful for any ideas
