Guest estied76 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Hi All, I am a recently new owner of a C4 VTR Coupe 1.6 Diesel I really pleased with it but the following things are driving me crazy! Why does the boot always open when I unlock the car? Can I stop it from doing this? What are the rolly rollers on the steering wheel console I cant seem to find these in the book? What do they do nothing seems to happen... Can you open the boot from the inside of the car? (boot lid pop button anywhere?) Unsurpisingly the glovebox handle is broken - how much to fix this (no longer under warranty) And finally - where can I get my mits on some VTR centre caps other than Ebay or the dealer? ££££££! Many Thanks in anticipation of your kind wisdom Estie Quote
paul.h Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 If the boot is actually opening as opposed to unlocking, then there was a recent similar case on a C5 which turned out to be a damp electrical connector at the opening handswitch in the boot (hatch). Drying and cleaning the connections sorted it. In our C4 handbook, the left hand scroll wheel is covered from page 32 and is part of the cruise control and speed limiter. Also if the side lights are on, it is used to vary the instrument brightness (page 48). The right hand scroll wheel is used to scroll through the menus after pushing the menu button to the left of it (page 49 onwards). I tend not to use the steering wheel controls though since they are too close to see clearly. Quote
eggiemk1 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 If you glove box lid is broken good luck. Mine also had a broken lid and after ringing round most if not all the scrap yards in sheffield and enquiring about second hand ones (i got laughed at twice for even trying) i ended up biting the bullet and just going to the citroen dealer and being bent over for one, costing me an eye watering £132. You can try ebay but they are often about £110 (after adding postage and package) Quote
