C8 Fap

Hello,

can anyone tell me how can i determine wether my C8 has a FAP or not. I have looked through the manual and there is no mention of FAP at all.

I rang the dealer and am still waiting for them to check ( 2 weeks ).

Is there anything obvious that i am missing that tells me if my car is FAP or not

The FAP on a C5 2.2 hdi is a cylinder in the exhaust just after the catalyst. There are small pipes either end to measure the pressure to check if it is blocking up. Also on start up, there is no smoke and the exhaust is clean at the exit, not covered in soot.

You could use eurocarparts website to see if it lists one for your car. You could also register on service.citroen.com to look at the parts diagrams against your vin.
