Hi

Really hope someone can help me as I'm going insane.

I'm having to remove and replace the rear brake pipe from the cylinder to the flexable hose because the nut at the cylinder has been rounded off.

I can't undo the fly nut where the pipe meets the flexable hose. I have a size 11 fly not spanner and am bracing the nut on the other size with a suitable spanner. Its all been WD40'd up and left to soak but the nut will not undo, infact Ive started to bend the metal support its held to.

Any hints or tips and or advice solutions are greatly appreciated.

Ta ta

If not already sorted, stillsons may undo the nut at the cylinder end, at the hose end there should be flats/hex on the hose fitting to hold in a spanner whilst the pipe nut is being turned. However, if this fails, use a hacksaw on the nut to split it. At worst you may end up replacing the cylinder and hose as well as the pipe. Try not to transfer any effort to the metal support to avoid damaging it.
