Guest pshephard Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I have a ten year old Citroen Synergie. Since January the engine has cut out several times, lasting only a few minutes, then restarts as normal. My local Citroen garage has reprogrammed the main onboard computor, which made no difference, and now seem at a loss as to how to proceed. The diagnostic tests keep indicating the injectors. Also the metering pump has been replaced. Has anyone else come across this problem. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated. Quote
paul.h Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Crank position sensors can fail when hot but then work ok once cooled, replacement is not expensive. I think they do not give a fault code either. If a petrol engine then you could try new spark plugs or could be the ignition coil. Quote
