Norwichmale Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Hi guys, newbie here but been a citroen owner for a few years! Please bare with me as my mechanical know how is limited so i will explain as best as i can.Ive had a nightmare 2 weeks, all starting from putting my car up on a ramp. When lowering my c5 the back stayed up but the front would go up and down. Unfortunatley i managed to burn my suspension pump out together with blowing the 40amp maxi fuse. After reading different articles on here and elsewhere i got another ( working pump ) and went through the motions of pressurising the system again,up and down on the suspension settings and turning the steering. Started the engine and hey presto....nothing! No power to my pump. Ive checked contnuity and power from different wires in different areas but am really at a lose end now. Im stumped! I could really do with a wiring diagram so i can see where ive been and where im going to go.Is there one i can download anywhere? Or anyone close to where i live whos knows more than me or maybe even owns a c5 so i can compare wiring? Many thanks in advance Jon Quote

C5buff Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi Have you read my post on page 15 ?. IN the C5 Technical part of the forum(pump runs continuously) the last post on that page gives a way to check the electrics to the pump. Assuming the new pump itself is good then something is missing either the main power or the run command or possibly no chassis ground. Quote
paul.h Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I do not know if this was part of the cause, but before jacking the car up, the suspension has to be set to maximum height (this is in the handbook). Quote
