zad Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Hi, Got a problem with the wifes C3's auto adjuster motor on the drivers side headlight. Long story short the old one kept getting condensation in it and it failed mot last year as they could not adjust the headlight, he let me go as long as I had it replaced ( I know the guy ). Any way mot time again so bought a new headlight unit fitted it ( thats a pain to do) and guess what no motor still :( gutted. Looked to see if there is a fuse for each side but can't see any thing in the book am I missing some thing? Any help appreciated. Cheers Quote
paul.h Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 The Haynes manual wiring diagram shows separate fuses 9 and 10 to the headlights, one for each side, in the engine fuse box, both 15 amp. but they also do the dipped beams so if the fuses have gone the lamps will not light either. The earth for the motors and switch is behind the left headlight. If the motor is OK, I suspect the connector or wiring may be at fault - from the switch, the 12v feed is the pink wire and the earth green/yellow at the RH motor. The feed to both motors is common (blue) from the switch and then splits (to red and to pink) so if one side works OK then this limits how far back from the none working one you need to check. Quote
