Hello,
I have recently purchased a 2001 Citroen C5 Exclusive SE V6 Auto.

She seems to be in good nick, and low mileage 35k.

I have two problems:

1) Sat/Nav. I have the Large Colour Display. The Sat/Nav is working fine.
Apart from this: whenever the ignition is switched off any setting which I have changed, e.g. from Male to Female Voice Guidance, or any Addresses which I have saved to File, are lost. All of the previous owner's saved addresses are there but, mine are lost.

This means that any Destinations that I save to File, initially appear to be saved. However, after the ignition is switched off and then on again they are gone.

Also, should I Delete any of the previous owner's saved Destinations, they appear to be Deleted. However, after the ignition is switched off and then on again, they are back.

2) Parking Sensors not working. The Reversing Lights are working ok. However, the Parking Sensors are totally dead. No audio signal when reverse is selected.

Please help asap. These probs' are, (especially the Sat/Nav) driving me crazy.

And, I am too scared to take the car to a dealer, for fear of a huge bill.

I eagerly await any possible help.

Thank,
Paul

Not had any experience on your car and sat nav system i can only guess that like good old car stereos and the memory power feed has a blown fuse that just happens to supply the parking sensors. Maybe start having a look down that avenue.

For both you could check all the fuses are ok. For the parking sensors also have a look in the boot (spare wheel area ?) and check the wiring is ok, earth connections ok, ecu is connected, any towbar wiring/socket is ok. But you may end up needing a dealer diagnostic check for both problems using a lexia.
