BADGER3 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I've recently bought my third C5 (2nd hand 10 reg C5). It's a lovely car but it doesn't have parking sensors. My local Citroen Dealer has Quoted me £1200 to fit front and back. Can anyone tell me if there is a more economical way to get them fitted? My parking isn't good in these C5s, I'm too small and I've already scratched the underside of my front bumper !! :( Quote
DaveHerns Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Look on EBay - sets start from £9.99 upwards ! Don't know where you are but local car radio firms fit rear sensors for about £150 . Presumably about the same front sensorsDon't go to a main dealer - each sensor is about £70 Quote
Johndouglas Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Mine are switched off at the moment. A few weeks ago, as soon as I selected first gear to drive away, I got a beep and a message telling me the system was faulty. Quote
DaveHerns Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I've been told you can identlfy defective sensors by listening carefully .When working apparently you can hear a clicking noise .Not tried this myself , I found a garage who plugged in to my car and found which one was shot .Charged £30 Quote
