lightfj Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 How does the connector come off the bulb? Am aware of the high voltage hazards. How is the bulb held in plae. C5 exclusive se 23.2 hdi passenger side bulb - battery very close -does it need removing?Help gratefully received. Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 To get to the rear of the lamps either remove the battery or the hydraulic bloc, depending which side you need. By the way, the handbook says xenons are a dealer only replacement - don't know why! Quote

Because customers cant be relyed upon to read instuctions and the voltage contained in the ballast resistor will do you some damage! Quote
iannez Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 its easier if you remove battery. leave car for about half an hour after removing the back of the light to give them time to discharge. the plug just pulls off the back of bulb. £60 - £80 per bulb so be careful. we've changed them under warrenty as they are supposed to last for years, worth a try. Johndouglas Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 £60 - £80 per bulb so be careful. On one of my other forums a guy has bought and fitted (so they work) some new xenon bulbs for his C5 off eBay. Cost £30.50 + £15P&P from Taiwan - for the pair! Quote
