Headlight Washers, Have I Got Them Or Not?

Hi all

Just recently brought my first citroen, a C5 estate vtr 06, 

So far a few problems which are being dealt with under the warranty.

but does my car have headlamp washers, nothing happens with lights on and windscreen washers activated.

I have the little squares in the front bumper which do not appear to move, as pictured on the estate above the forum listing.

Are these blanks fitted to all models or only to those with headlamp washers is what i need to know?

yes, cut-outs with square caps are on all models, to simplify production. Doesn't mean they have washers fitted. Washers are generally fitted with Xenon equipped models, as this is a legal requirement.

If you have Xenon lights then you will have washers.

 

If you're careful you can pull the square caps by getting your fingernails around the top and bottom edges. If they are washers then you will be able to pull them open a little and see the washer jets.

That answers the question :( No washers or reversing sensors as they seem to be dummies too!

If you have parking sensors, there will be a "p-off" (funny I know) button on the dash, under the radio

A member has recently installed reversing sensors on his C4 and there is a pinned note on the C4 section.
