Heater Blower Motor

I purchased a brand new heater blower motor with air con as mine wasnt working at all

 

but this new one just dont work either

 

i have a s reg xsara estate 1998

 

does anyone know what else i could try ??

Welcome to the forum.

 

There will be a fuse somewhere and a resistor pack that controls the blower speed that could be checked and possibly a relay. If you have a wiring diagram (Haynes) it should show these.

just found out is the wire from the ignition has burned out being fixed on friday 40 quid

also heater motor was knackered too

 A bit unlucky to have 2 things fail. Is the pollen filter in need of replacement (if it has one) ? I vaguely remember one Citroen model that needed frequent filter changes to stop something similar or maybe a problem with the ignition switch and it may have been the Xsara Picasso - in the Haynes manual for this it has the frequency as every year or 12500 miles if sooner and on many other Citroens it is every 2 years.

Hi can i use a non air con heater motor instead of a air con one on my car ??

The air con blower and non air con blower have different part numbers and the air con base is pear shaped and on the other is round.

i know they are different but is it possible to put a non air con into a my car that has aircon ?
