wsmdesign Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Hi folks - new owner from Motherwell (just outside Glasgow). My 2011 C5 Tourer 2.0hdi Exclusive has 19" alloys and I am looking at replacing them during Winter but unsure of what size of wheels and tyres would suit. I've looked on line and some sites say the 16" wheels will be OK but I am not sure......I've seen a set of 17" Steel Wheels with 225 55 17 101v winter tyres on Ebay but want to find out what size first before I spend money ! I am also toying with the idea od just putting 2 winter tyres on the front....although winter tyres are well over £200 each. Any help would be appreciated - thanks Quote
paul.h Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Welcome to the forum. If you look in a sales brochure it will give you the sizes of wheel supplied as standard but it looks as though the options are steel 225/60/R16, 225/55/R17 alloy, 245/45/R18 alloy, 245/40/R19 alloy. Sales brochures can be seen on Citroen's website, these are from a 11/2010 brochure. The 1.6 hdi uses 215/60/R16 steel or 225/55/R16 alloy and probably has smaller brakes. Quote
wsmdesign Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 thanks for the reply - much appreciated. I a now certain the 17" steel wheels and 225 55 17 winter tyres are the ones for me. thanks again Quote
Parkesie Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Possible option would be to get some mondeo wheels. Plentiful 2nd hand on ebay. Quote
