Hi all

I have a 2008 Citroen PIcasso C4. Woke up yesterday and started it, the onboard display suddenly tells me that ABS, handbrake, airbags, suspension & gearbox are all faulty.

Obviously cant be mechanical as everything woked fine the day before, I've browsed forums on this and from other postings I think that the error is with the cars ECU / computer.

Apparently a common thing that water finds it's way onto the computers connector / plugs and corrodes this. I am not in a position to fork out hundreds of pounds to get this fixed so plan to fix it myself.

Problem I have is that I dont know where to find the damn computer and its connectors and what to do if I do find it.

Really hope somebody out there has had a similar issue and will be able to advise.

Thanks very much

Welcome to the forum.

Before getting too involved it may be worth trying a simple battery disconnection/reconnection to see if this helps. In the Technical section Common Problems post there is a procedure for this that has worked without causing other odd electrical problems.

The ecu is often located next to the battery so you could see if all its connectors look dry and clean - but before disconnecting any the battery should be disconnected first.

It may be worth looking on the Citroen Picasso forum, there is a link to it on the home page.

Thanks, have already tried that - disconnected the battery and left it like that overnight hoping that the ecu might reboot / reset itself but no luck.

Will have a look tonight to see if I can find it and check teh connectors

Thanks again
