standishgeezer Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Hi, I took delivery of this used C5 yesterday and everything seems quite different to my previous 2004 C5 so please forgive me if I'm missing anything obvious. Took the car out last night and, a there was mist on the windscreen I tried to turn the fan up full (this used to demist the screen almost instantaneously in my previous C5 and the fan was very audible) but there was no sound of a fan whatsoever and the screen did not demist (even though I depressed the 'front demist' switch which lit up). Would I be right to assume that I should be able to hear the blower fan and that it is probably not functioning? If so, does anyone have any idea of the likely cause? Parkesie Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 You'd be able to hear the fan going for sure. Does the fan not work at any speed? Usual suspects would be fuse resistor/speed control pack or motor. Quote
paul.h Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Handbook gives the engine fusebox fuse F11, 40 amp for the air con blower. Quote
