Hedgie Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Arghhhh. Has anyone got photos or links that show the headlight bulb fitting sequence. I have taken the battery out removed the cover and got the old bulb out. BUT the retaining clip has come out and i cant figure out how to get it back in.I DREAD doing the drivers side as the access is worse.. Whats the procedure for removing the headlights from the car ? Frustrated of Warrington :( Quote
paul.h Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 There is a picture in the Haynes manual which shows the clip as a U shape with extra bends. The 2 ends go into hooks and the top then moves a bit sideways to locate on a hook. A mirror and torch will help. The raised parts of the sides of the U push against the back of the bulb. To remove the light the bumper has to be removed then 3 bolts (1 on top, 2 at the lower corners) holding the light undone, the light manoeuvred from position and the wiring plug disconnected. To remove the bumper, undo the undershield torx bolts, 2 screws in each wheel arch, 3 torx bolts at the top of the bumper behind the bonnet catch. Then pull the bumper slightly forward, release the clips below the headlights, then pull the bumper forward and off. If you need a Haynes manual, WMP on the Manchester Road / Kingsway junction sells them at a reduced price. Quote
