ashie2807 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 hi there i was wondering if any one had any info on what the clunking could be coming from the rear suspension over speed bump the suspension works perfectly it will go up and down when you push the button i am thinking its the bushes but would like some more info on this before committing to fixing it so if any one can help with this it would be much appreciated P.S. the car is a 2002 c5 2.0 hdi Quote
paul.h Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 There may not be a problem since the early cars were known for it but see if there are any more replies before doing anything. You could check the rear tyres for any odd tread wear patterns to indicate a worn suspension though. Any problem ought to be picked up at an MOT so if the noise was there at the last one the car is probably ok. Quote
ashie2807 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 i bought the car just after its mot pal Quote
ashie2807 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 clinking pal only when going over bumps or pot holes or such my friend thinks it the drop links at the rear Quote
paul.h Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 The rear anti roll bar bolts direct to the suspension arms and does not have any drop links. The 4 bolts are torqued to 130 Nm. Quote
