jasdrisc Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Hi all, As you can gather i have a 02 synergie and am trying to reprogram a new key fob to the car, have followed all the online tutorials on how to program it but my led light on the dash which is supposed to flash does not do anything just thought someone might have had the same issues when trying to program a fob to their car? paul.h Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Welcome to the forum. Citroen's procedures for key initilisation require a diagnostic tool to be used - a Lexia or Proxia. So without one of these it may not be possible. Quote
barwood Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Have you had any luck programming your key? can you open the doors remotely? Quote
barwood Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 No luck, the doors lock/unlock but nothing else I've got a mechanic coming round with a lexia but not until next week. Quote
paul.h Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 As well as a Lexia, you may possibly need the key code card that came with the car. A dealer can obtain this if you do not have it if you provide the VIN. Quote
barwood Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Does anyone know is the code just numbers or a combination of letters & numbers? Quote
paul.h Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 From searching, it appears to be a 4 digit code and a picture showed a card with a number followed by 3 letters - but this does not mean they are all like that. Also to get the code, a dealer will provide it if you take your V5C document to show proof of ownership and you may not be charged. As well as the transponder code, you could also ask for the key code in case you want another cutting without having to use an existing one. if your radio needs a code then that can also be obtained at the same time. There are internet sites that say they can provide the code but will charge and again need proof of ownership. Some sites also say if your existing key fob works then the code can be obtained from it. Quote
barwood Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I found out mine was first registered in Belgium,so I phoned the original dealer and guess what!!! he gave me the code over the phone. Whoopee Quote
