Hi I am in the process of purchasing a 2.2 HDI exclusive with sport setting on suspension that has had the wheels changed to another set ot Citroen wheels but not had th logged onto the system is this much of a problem? Also probably needs the sat nav updated?

Probably not but make sure it has the right size tyres - check against the label on one of the door pillars. The exclusive cars have tyre presure monitors which work from the tyre valves - you need to check if these have been fitted on the wheels and are working. I do not know the year of the car but our 2007 C5 sat nav is now a few years out of date but it is still good enough - if a new road is not on it, just select one nearby. Some use a cd or sd card or in our case it is loaded on to a hard drive.

Thanks you are quick. I am told it comes on when car is started.which I know will start to annoy me does it need lexia to sort?

I take it the new wheels dont have the pressure sensors fitted. Will just give bong on start up and the service indicator will remain illuminated. Thats what my 08 tourer does anyway older cars may do something slightly more annoying.

Lexia can disable it completely i think.

The nav in mine updates from cd which reminds me i should look at doing it soon.

I did not realise you meant there was a warning message on the car. If you have not yet bought the car I would have the owner sort it out before paying for it - or pay a reduced amount to allow for the fix.

On one of the C5 sections is a pinned post with members willing to help others with diagnostics, so worth a look if one is in your area. I have read there are ways around not having XP so a Lexia can be used with more recent Windows systems - you would need to contact a seller to see what their Lexia can work with.

Thanks again got the car now a lot different than the 03 2.0 HDI exclusive and the 04 2.2 HDI exclusive. Any way the sceen just flashes up 4 sensors missing on start up. So not that much of a problem.

You can install a freeware program called VMware, it creates a false partition so needs a lot of space, you then install XP on that false partition (need an xp disk). To install the Lexia open the xp desktop and install it there, as the program installs it restarts the machine but doesnt go into the XP partition, however it seems quite happy and the Lexia program can be run from whatever operating system you have without going to XP. I have only done this on 32 bit systems so if you have a 64 bit I doubt it will work.
