hi I,m costermonger and I have owned citroens as taxis for more than 15 years m, I love em BUT  I need the bleed valve that is on the front of the  thermostat housing on my 08 model [ latest]  cv5 16 valve hdi rhr and I cannot get one , why? because some less than bright soul  who composed the parts  drawing on the computer  did not include it ,consequently no one has the first idea how to order it,any one know ?I am not a great fan of drawing  office staff because  this type of  lackadaisicalness has cost me in the past, I rang citroen france after falling down  rapidly  at the first [ and probably last[] call to the new office in Coventry but my lack of french of   speakable quality kind of put up a barrier, they were however much more helpful than coventrys girl, help please guys

Welcome to the forum.

I could be wrong with this but the part may be 1323V3. Searching under the C5 (X7) without any engine or vin selected, under drain plug comes up with this part a few times in different places on various engines under outlet housing and durite hose cooling and radiator. On the DW10BTED4 with FAP engine (2.0 hdi 138 bhp) under Durite hose cooling, it shows it at the top of the coolant expansion tank, labelled as part 4. If there is a drain plug at the top side of the expansion tank then maybe it is not this.

Other types that appear are an allen cap head type screw and a tyre valve cap (but these take higher pressures than tyre valve caps).

you were absolutely right and I was able to order one from the same dealer who could not find this , thank you I,m very grateful, why they put this  seperate from the item it fits on is absolutely beyond me but then I,m just an ordinary skilled man not a computer expert lool

Thankyou for coming back, it did take some time to find the part and if the dealer had not supplied it before then locating it on the parts diagrams may have resulted in a large queue. At least we all a bit wiser now and I have noted it in my manual in case I need one. How much was it ?

I had to move your original post in to a subforum since ones outside do not show after a couple of days and are then difficult to find.
