Lt777 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I have an 04 c8 diesel 2.0, it's leaking from a metal pipe that goes into the steering rack, it's the top pipe, will I have to get a new one or can I get the seal for it seperatley, I've been to its an O ring plz help thx Quote
paul.h Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Welcome to the forum. The parts diagrams do not seem to show the O-ring seals separately to the pipes. However, you could try a Citroen dealer to see if they sell them or you could try somewhere like Machine Mart/Toolstation/Screwfix who sell sets of O-rings and see if one is the same size as the original. For example http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cht314-universal-o-ring-set There are cases on the new C5 steering rack leaking oil which has turned out to be the column input shaft top seal that has leaked, but was first thought to be a pipe seal. In these cases a replacement rack was needed. Quote
Lt777 Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 Citreon want to sell me the pipe they don't do seals, GSF have O rings but I need to know which type and I've had a garage look underneath that's how I know where the leak is coming from pipe is too expensive and a last resort but thx for advice Quote
