seefive Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Anyone know if I can get my door mirrors "indexed" to dip when reverse gear is selected? I had this feature on my old Mk2 exclusive, but its not on my 2013 Mk 3 (exclusive) . It was on earlier Mk3's though. Thanks for any advice Quote
Parkesie Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 No idea but it is a feature on my mk3 exclusive the mirror selection switch has to be in a certain position for it to work though. Quote
paul.h Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 It is not mentioned on C5 brochures for 2009 to 2014 for any model or option but to get it to work needs the mirror selection switch to always be in the passenger mirror position. You would think it was only a software thing so maybe it just needs to be activated, possibly using a Lexia. Quote
seefive Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 OK Thanks for that, I'll see if the dealer can activayte it next service. Another annoying little ommission I've noticed is - no blindspot drivers door mirror. They try and flog you the monitoring system instead, which I would NEVER trust for something as important as checking your blind spot! Maybe I'll look for a replacement mirror glass.. Quote
paul.h Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Looking at the parts diagrams for the mirror glass, there are a few options depending on whether the glass is clear or tinted and convex and arabie marking. Depending on further replies to this topic, maybe you could look at another new C5 to see if it has the blind spot section and then note its VIN from the windscreen and order the glass against that VIN.
