Grandc4 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Iv heard it is a common problem... We shut boot to go shopping... We get a trolley full of shopping! then the boot doesnt open!! haha So it too passing it over the back three seats to put in the boot! ( 2 child seats in ) so couldnt put down. ANyway i watched a video on how to open the boot from inside and i have done that now. So i know what to do for next time. But im wondering how to change the lock? do i need to get one from a Citroen dealer i guess? Do i have to take off the back boot panel to have easy access to the locking mechanisim? citroen c4 2011 1.6 hdi Quote
paul.h Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 To get to the lock the lower plastic trim has to be removed - held by 2 bolts at the inner handles, 2 pins at the side of the lock and a lot of clips. The external plastic trim also may need removing - there are 5 bolts to undo from the inside and then a lot of clips and it looks as if the switch is clipped in to this trim. The lock is held by 2 bolts. When you try the switch can you hear the lock working ? If not it may be a wiring problem - check where it goes between the door and body and for a supply at the switch connector, or maybe a problem with the switch. Quote
