Hi everyone,

I have Citroen C5 2006 with RT3 NaviDrive system. Version is 6.63.

I had old CD disc with maps from 2008 and almost all the time its play OK - I burn new maps 2013 (burned with low speed, also try several different disc) but it wont read it - I try for about 100 times (entering and eyecting) and just 2 times I have luck and saw map on display.

Also if I burn disc with MP3 music (with or without maps) - it dont read it.

I try with audio disc (original and copy) - this reads it all but the sound is with noise- imagine if you listen to radio station with low signal or frequency. When I put the same audio disc in CD charger the sound is very clear.

Have anybody the same problem? And how can I solve it out?

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried the 2008 cd in a computer to see what file format the maps are in since this may indicate if the copied one is in the required format. A cd cleaning disc may help with the 2008 cd not always being read. Do you have the original 2013 cd being used to create a copy to see if that will work ? I guess you have looked in your Navidrive handbook for any help.

The fact that audio cd's sound fine in the changer but not in the head unit points to a problem with the head unit laser.

MP3 lasers have to read smaller files, and are more delicate I believe

I have a problem with my NaviDrive 3D in that some cods/ dvds read some way through while playing then comes up with a read error. I am assuming this is a fault with the laser. Also does anyone know where a cd changer would fit in a citreon c5 exclusive (2009 model ). Looking maybe to replace the NaviDrive with a refurb or second hand one if anyone has one for sale at reasonable cost.
