Hi there can anyone help. I just bought a 57 plate C5 estate the rear window wouldn't open or wiper work. I have fixed the rear window problem but still stuck on the wiper. Blade is stuck at 11oclock position.

How do I check if wiper motor is working as 3 wires to it blue white and black ? Which is which ? And what should be output ? Or resistance across motor

Thank you

Welcome to the forum.

I would check where the wires go from the body to the door in case one is broken and if you have a meter you could check for voltage at the motor electrical connector. The wiring diagram  in the Haynes manual has the 3 wires as green/yellow - earth, yellow from fuse F2 in the glovebox bsi fuse box, beige from the bsi. These wires are also numbered as M5215, 521, 522. You should be able to check which is the earth one using a meter. So it looks as if you disconnect the motor connector and then provide an earth and a 12 volt supply to one or maybe both of the other wires at the motor then it should run.

I have moved the topic in to a subforum since ones outside of one do not show after a few days and may be difficult to find.

Hi

I am also having this problem with my daughters 03 C5 Estate, I have had to run 6 new wires through the rubber gaiter as these where broken, when the rear wiper is switched on there is power going through the 522 but none through 521.

Should there be power going through both of these?

Hope someone can help

Thanks
