zony Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Hello all. I am new to this forum as up until now the car a C3 1.4 HDi 2006 in XTR trim has sort of behaved itself, flying through the last 3 MOT's. The EML has recently come on. I have taken to a local garage where I live in Porthmadog. Snap-on scanner found some codes so cleared them all. Two days later EML light relit and the following codes have been thrown up. P1351 Pre-post Heating relay circuit incoherence P0102 Flow sensor signal open circuit or short circuit to ground P3007 Flow sensor signal too low. My question is which of these will make the EML light up. Thanks for looking. Tony Quote
paul.h Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Welcome to the forum. The first code relates to the glow plugs so can be ignored unless it is struggling to start. The second 2 probably are both related to the air flow meter between the air filter and the engine and these will put the eml on as well as likely put the car in to limp mode limiting its performance. You could check its electrical connector and try cleaning it internally by spraying with carburettor cleaner but you may need to get a new one. Also look for any air leaks. An internet check on P3007 also gave camshaft sensor no signal but try the flow meter first, clear the codes and see if any come back. Quote
zony Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Cheers Paul. Weather permitting will remove the MAF tomorrow to give it a clean and find the part number. Quote
zony Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 Well I cleaned the Air flow meter (left it in the housing) and removed the accelerator pedal. Used a MAF cleaner to clean both and the MIL light has remained off. Pleased with the result. Its been two weeks now and all seems well. Quote
paul.h Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Thankyou for getting back to us. It is good to hear a low cost successful fix. If you had to pay for the fault codes reading/deleting, you can get reasonable readers for around £30 to £40 that will also give some useful engine sensor live data such as this one from Gendan http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT200.html Quote
