Randyleprechaun Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Hi,I'm in the middle of adding "remote" function to the central locking in 2012 Berlingo Van.I've sussed out where to wire to for to get the locks opening and closing but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get the indicators to flash. There's a wire to send signal from the remote locking control unit but I don't know where to send it to. Hazard light switch is no use as that just requires a signal to a wire to turn hazards on and a signal to the same wire to turn them off.I'm looking for where to send the siganl so that that they flash at the tempo set by the remote locking unit.Any help appreciated.Ask any questions. Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Welcome to the forum. If you are unable to connect to the indicators will your remote kit still work ? The indicators and remote locking on Citroens seem to be operated through the bsi unit so it may not be possible for your kit to work with this. Is your kit a Citroen supplied accessory or an aftermarket one ? If the output signal from your kit is a timed one but not pulsing, you could consider using a relay connected to the hazard switch in/out wires so that the kit effectively switches on the hazards for the time. So one side of the relay would take the kit output signal and a connection to earth and the other side of the relay connects into the hazard switch wires so it is in parallel to the hazard switch.
