antman70 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Hi, I have an '06 C5 2.2 and according to my RPO, it should take 176/Infineum, but when I looked at the tank the quickfit connectors are white not green? What's going on? I'm very confused now and worried I've bought the wrong fluid! Many thanks,Leith. Quote
paul.h Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Welcome to the forum. In the Citroen service procedures there is a table that lists the type of additive based on the RPO. However, it warns that the type of additive already in use and to be used again must be identified first and that the only way is by the colour of the button on the click fit union on the filler interface pipe - so this will override the table recommendation based on the RPO. So based on this if the button on your union is white, then the additive should be eolys DPX42 (based on the table this is used up to RPO 9492). If the button is green then use the Infineum F7995. If the button is blue then use eolys powerflex. Quote
antman70 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 (edited) Thanks Paul, My RPO is 10263, and I thought that Dpx went away long before 2006, plus everyone says by the date it has to be 176, but the damn white clickfit!!!! And yes I read the tech info on this site, so I know where you are coming from. Thanks,Leith. P.s. are the fluids different colors? Edited December 27, 2014 by antman70 Quote
Drummer1 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Where can I find the eolys container on my 2007 C5 2.0 HDi?I have looked under the bonnet and can't see anything...but then I suppose I don't know what I'm looking for.And if I can locate it how do I know what the correct level is? paul.h Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 It is underneath at the back. To check the level the official method is to drain it out and see how much you collect. Full is about 3 litres and empty at about 80k miles. The car checks the level by the number of fills of the fuel tank (each fill will dose a set amount in to the fuel tank) and calculates how much should be left and not by measuring the eolys tank level. When the tank is refilled you need a diagnostic to tell the car it has been filled or a low level message will keep coming up, but eolys will still be dosed to the fuel tank. I think eolys may be about £100 for 3 litres. Quote
