Dremark Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I have just bought a C5 Tourer Seduction 2.0 from 2012 and I will replace the box under the radio, with a box there have two cupholders. If there are anyone, there can tell me how can I release the existing box I will look forward too hear from you.I have tried to attached a file so you could see what my problem is, but unfortunately all the time I've got the message "Error The server returned an error during upload". So here you have a link, where you can see a picture of the box I wish to remove - it is picture no. 9/10: http://www.biltorvet.dk/Bil/Forhandler/Citro%C3%ABn/C5/Tourer-2-0-HDI-Seduction-163HK-Stc-6g/691803?utm_source=autouncle_web Best regardsDremark Quote
Porsche430 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I would start by removing the radio unit. There are some screws securing the center console behind the panel so it should be removable. i think removing the radio should be a good start to make it clearer. Quote
Dremark Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Thank you for your reply:-) I have tried to remove the radio, but I can only see one screw in the center behind the radio. I have tried to put in a thin blade around the box and there is no fixpoint in the top, but I can feel connection-point in the side and in the bottom, but I don't know how to release them.I have tried to find a repair-manual for C5 2011-> , I haven't succeed - Do you know where I can get a repair-manual? Porsche430 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) It is difficult to advise how to remove trims without actually being there to do it! I hope this picture relates and can help you... the clips for this one are shown at (b ). http://i.imgur.com/Yu3s0tU.jpg Congratulations on the purchase of your new C5! Dremark Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Thank you very much for this fine illustration :-) Now I have something there can guide me on my work with the box. You probably should not happen to know, where I can get hold of a repair-manual for C5 Tourer 2.0 163 seduction from 2012? Quote
Porsche430 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Sadly, I cannot help you there! I would usually go for the wonderful Haynes manuals, but most car companies refuse to allow them to create such repair manuals as it takes work away from the dealerships! Be sure to come back and let us know how you get on. Quote
Dremark Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 I have looked for a Haynes manual, but they only have a manual for C5 up to 2008 models. I come back if I find a solution. Have a nice day and thanks again :-) Quote
MikeLane Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 These people say they have a downloadable version of the C5 workshop manual(s) including the X7 (after 2008). It's over 17GB but they also sell a DVD version for an extra £5.99: http://www.emanualonline.com/Cars/Citroen/Citroen-C5-Workshop-Repair-And-Service-Manual.html Haven't got one myself so can't really recommend it but.... All the best. Quote
paul.h Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 You can get the Citroen service box on such as ebay which includes the procedures and parts diagrams. It comes on 3 dvds and is installed on your computer. There is also a French RTA manual for the C5 but it only covers the 140 bhp 2.0 hdi and 1.6 hdi engines http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rta-B737-Citro%C3%ABn-Depuis-2008/dp/2726873758/ref=sr_1_20?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1422131462&sr=1-20&keywords=citroen+c5 To get the radio out you need to insert U shaped clips in the holes at the ends of the radio to disengage the retaining clips and then it will pull out using the U clips. An example of the clips although you can make them from such as coat hanger wire http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003JIOXSA/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B003JIQTBY&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0PFJNNEPFRZ9H8DTECTR Quote
c5vtr Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 ..Are you any further forward with this project...? had never considered that spot as a place for them but frankly its used for nothing else anyway. you get the sense that from the centre steering hub to the lack of cup holders that Citroen don't want u distracted from simply driving but we all like our creature comforts Quote
