danjosh Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hi Is it relatively easy to replace the entire door mirror assembly on a C4 Picasso? The car is a 2007 1.6 110hp diesel. We managed to catch the N/S mirror and break the outer casing. The motorised turning in facility still works ok as does the white courtesy light & indicator Ideally i would like to simply obtain a casing and replace the old one or buy a complete unit off ebay but just use the casing. Is this possible Any help would be much appreciated Cheers Quote
paul.h Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Welcome to the forum. The top part of the casing (caping) is available separately from a dealer if that is the only part broken - if not you will need all of the mirror. A used one is probably the lowest cost way to replace it. There are a few different part numbers depending on the colour and if you have sill illumination. To remove the mirror, it looks as if the lower cover with the indicator is unclipped to reveal 2 bolts which are undone. However, the electrical connectors look as if they are inside the door so the door card may need to be removed. It looks though as if you could part dismantle the mirror to remove the outer shell (all the bits just unclip) whilst still on the door and just fit the bits from the replacement one. Quote
danjosh Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Thanks Paul I will have a good look I tried the dealers for a cover but they only sell complete assemblies at £240 each!! At the moment we're snowed in but as soon as it clears Best regards Pete Quote
