Porsche430 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Welcome to the forum. It defiantly has hee haw to do with the pollen filter LOL! Could be any number of things, best thing is to get the car plugged into a computer. Quote
11alan111 Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 thank you for the welcome and the reply Quote
paul.h Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 The cause of the emissions light being on could be anything that has an effect on the exhaust emissions but is definately nothing to do with the cabin pollen filter. So if the owner is lying about this then I would be very careful about the car. If you have a code reader that will do a 2003 diesel (not all do since EOBD was not required until 2004 on diesels) you can plug it in to the socket which is located in the glove box behind a small panel that pulls off. Then get the fault code and put it on here or do an internet search to see what it may mean. Whilst the fault is showing, the car may run in limp mode so not perform that well. Quote
