citroenfan Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Hello. Well i've just picked up my citroen c4 and so far i am not very impressed. I stopped briefly in services and applied the hand brake and when i got back the brake wouldn't release! I have tried everything but it's stuck and the car not moving. Any suggestions or should i call emergency? Quote
paul.h Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 You are probably sorted now, but if not, if it is a normal handbrake and you can not get the lever down, pull it up slightly and press/hold in the button on the end, it should now lower down to release the brake. Quote
citroenfan Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Hi Paul, I am thank god! I did eventually (after several attempts and a very sore hand) manage to lower it. I had pulled it up too tightly the first time when all I had to do was apply it gently, it actually secures itself very well! Oh well we live and learn every day i'm just glad I didn't have to be towed on my first day driving the car. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Quote
