M0JFK Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Just bought one of the old mk1 C5's a 2.2 Hdi Exclusive on a 2002 plate. Was a little bit concerned about all the faults that can pop up with these cars especially with the DPF. However so far so good...touch wood with only little problems with regards to TPMS reporting 2 missing. I will look into the forums later for a fix on these. As for me I am a retired civil servant from the council. Do a lot of my own repairs and I also have a 4x4 Isuzu trooper. Hobbies are Shooting, Off Road'ing, Flying RC Helicopters, Metal Detecting, Amateur Radio (Class A licensed) And Motorcycles and I currently own a Suzuki GS 750 X like brand new it is and made in 1999 with only 4k on the clock. My pride and joy. Bought the C5 mainly for towing the caravan and fuel economy over the Trooper. Lovely car to drive, never realised they could be so comfortable. Anyway look forward to sharing all my troubles with it over the coming months because no doubt I will get hem with this vehicle. Ah well keeps me occupied suppose...catch you all on the forums folk's. From Peter (M0JFK) Quote
paul.h Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Welcome to the forum. The tyre pressure monitoring is probably not worth bothering with and you may be able to stop the warning messages using a Lexia diagnostic tool or get a dealer to do it if it bothers you. On the C5 Technical section there is a pinned post of some of the things that can go wrong and may be worth a look. Quote
