Brake Pedal Hard

Don't no if it's just me or it's vtr the break pedal feels hard and seems to take ages to slow down I was told that all saxos have rubbish breaks is this true or is there a fault with my car I know nothing about breaks at all

Sounds as if there is a fault. The brakes may be seized and need cleaning or the servo may not be working - the brake pedal should go down further when the engine is running than when it is switched off.

 

I have not driven a Saxo but the Citroens I have driven all had good brakes.
