lauro Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 will I need to reset the radio code if I take the battery off a 51 plate xsara hdi? or can the battery be charged on the car? whilst still connected?? Quote
paul.h Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Welcome to the forum. Have a look in your handbook to see what needs to be done if the battery is disconnected and then reconnected - probably set date/time, operate electric windows to reset anti pinch and maybe retune the radio. Citroen's procedures for the Xsara do not mention needing to use a code if the radio is disconnected and the Citroens we've had all had radios that were coded to the car, so if the battery was removed they worked again once the battery was connected without needing a code to be entered. lauro Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 sounds like you've either owned a few citroens or worked on a few? i have had a look at the owners handbook and had a look for a reset code in the radio manual but cant see any re set code or info just wanted the 100% all clear to remove the battery without needing a re set code?
