paulstyle74 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Hi new to the forum so please be gentle !!! My Question is regarding Citreon Relay 2013 L3 H2 130ps. 60,000 miles full citreon service history & oil & fuel filter change every 10k. I had a 60k service at a citreon main dealer 1 week ago. On leaving the garage pull away and van felt flat when pulling away then picked up and fine. This has happened at intervals throughout the week , doesn't seem to matter if engine hot or cold and only happens through the lower gears with a feeling of running out of fuel / flat lack of power feeling. Today it did again with this time the engine management light coming on and then lack of power. Turned of and restarted and managed to get myself back to the main dealer. They are to do a diagnostics in the next hour , but always feel 'fobbed off' will the diagnostics show exactly the problem ?? Have had a look on various web sites & things like the DPF & EGR VALVES have been mentioned. Any help greatfully received and excuse my lack of tech knowledge. Thanks again Paul Quote
paul.h Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Welcome to the forum. With the engine management light coming on there will be a fault code which will say what the fault is and there will be freeze frame data showing the engine sensor measurements when the fault occurred - so this should be enough for the dealer to diagnose the fault and fix it. The lack of power is probably the engine has been put in limp mode so it will still run but without causing the exhaust emissions to be excessive. Since the problem happened after the service it is possibly something done then such as the connector on the air flow meter not being put back. Please let us know the outcome. Quote
paulstyle74 Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Hi thanks for reply and your advice. Complete EGR failure and to have a new one fitted tomorrow ( under warranty ). The existing one was sticking open & closed in the stuck position. Thanks Quote
