54 Plate Citroen C5 Faults

hello there , I am new to the forum so therefore i might not bi in the right place,so please move if need be.

my car is a 2004,54 plate, 2.0 hdi.the faults are ESP/ASR system faulty, Directional headlamps faulty.when faults cleared car drives normally for a short time , then faults reappear when driving,, by the way my parking system has been faulty for some  time, please can somebody help me, 

i bought an 09 1.6 hdi vtr+ and kept for afew months before going back to my old citroen

Is your car the 2004 to 2008 model ?

 

The parking system fault could be one of the sensors needs replacing or maybe a loose connection.

 

ESP/ASR could be a few things such as a faulty brake switch, an abs system fault, maybe the steering angle sensor is faulty which would also affect the directional headlights - possibly you could check this by starting the car and turning the steering lock to lock to see if the fault occurs.

 

A Citroen diagnostic check ought to find the problems so it may be best to visit a dealer. You could always try a battery disconnection/reconnection since this sometimes clears electrical problems - there is a procedure in the C5 Technical section Common Problems pinned topic.
