KermitTheFrog Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Hi Guys I'm new here, so hi all! I have just bought my 2011 tourer and would like to replace or spray the swishy silver door finishings on each door and also the auto gear surround (with money box and ashtray in). I'm finding it quite difficult to google the info that i need, so hope you guys can help. Is it possible to remove these door trimmings or are they only replaceable with a complete door card? Also, the gear surround, looks a bit daunting getting that out, has anyone tried it or heard of being done? Many thanks in advance. Tracey Quote
paul.h Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Welcome to the forum. Citroen only sell a complete door card but the inner part of the handle is removable. I do not know how the other bits are fastened to the card. The gear surround is a separate part and unclips but first the gear lever and handbrake lever gaiters need removing and possibly the small glove box at the front end of it, all of which are clipped in to place so probably just pull off. citrophile Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 If you bought your car from a citroen dealer then it would be worth asking their service team how you remove the parts. I've usually found a 5 minute conversation with one of the hands on service mechanics saves a whole lot of hassle and expense. Quote
KermitTheFrog Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks guys. It was a Citroen dealer and the car is due to booked in to have a few niggles ironed out soon, so i shall certainly ask. You know what's like with a new car, you want it sorted now! :) I will update when i find out, so it can hopefully help someone else. Thanks again. Quote
