I'm a pensioner, and due to severe back problems I was recently forced to exchange my 2006 Ford Fiesta 1.6 diesel for a 2006 Citroen C4 which has much softer suspension.

The only problem being that the rear suspension on the Citroen knocks every time I go over a bump, which I have presumed means that the rear shockers need replacing.

The Citroen has spent all of its 48,000 miles of the Isle of Wight (where the roads are rubbish), and when I looked I found that both rear shocks were leaking oil.

Rather than buy expensive Citroen replacements, can anyone recommend a make of shock absorber that will not break the bank, which will work and give a reasonable ride.

Many thanks

Monroe shockabsorbers have a good reputation. Shop around and you should find them for less than £40 each. New nuts are recommended when fitting them.

You got the car for the softer ride. then id stick to dealer parts only as there is a difference in quality
