Gruddleduck Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I'm Geoff - new member. Owned a number if Citroens starting with a GS years ago, then two XMs, a BX, two C5s, a C2, a C4, and now a newer C5 - a much better car. I have also owned a Lomax 223 (3 wheeler), a Pembleton Brooklands (4 wheeler) and now own a Burton Classic (4 wheeler Dutch made body) - all specials based on Citroen 2CV chassis and mechanics - I am also a member of the Citroens Specials Club. Just sold a Jag XF to get my 2010 C5 2.0 Exclusive as I couldn't stand the harsh ride and expensive ANNUAL (regardless of mileage) servicing plus the simple expense of running the thing. A real money pit! Nice to get back to a lovely comfortable C5 and glide around. Just hope it is reliable as Citroens do not have the best reliability count, my previous C5 [2005] seemed to spend most of its time in a garage - expensive thing it was. Quote
paul.h Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Welcome to the forum. On the C5 Technical section there is a pinned topic on Common Problems that is worth looking at. On the C5 (X7) model they seem to be prone to steering rack oil leaks and this is mentioned. Quote
