Sloppysod Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Hi, I have a 2011 exclusive and reading the blurp on the web I should be able to make the left hand mirror point towards the kerb when reverse is selected to help parking, like my old Mk1 Sx did, but it does not, also that when the seat memory button is pushed the, seat position, heating & mirrors are all supposed to be adjusted to that drivers requirements, but the mirrors don't move, have I got a problem with the memory module, if so how do I check and where is it, or do I have a low spec exclusive? Any ideas anyone? Quote
paul.h Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 An indexable passenger door mirror is not mentioned in any brochures for the mark 3 C5 (X7) as far back as 2009 so it may not be on the car. On our 2007 C5 with the front/rear parking sensors fitted as the parking assistance pack, the mirror selection switch on the driver's door has to be left in the passenger mirror position for the mirror to index when reverse is selected. A look in a handbook for 2011 does not mention mirrors but one for 2008 models does mention the indexing when reverse is selected - so maybe it was included on early cars but then removed to cut costs. For the electric seats the brochures state - electric front seats (slide, tilt, height, seat, lumbar, shoulder with memory for driver's seat) - but no mention of the mirrors. A quick look in a 2011 handbook did not mention the mirrors but one for 2008 does. So possibly again the mirror functions were on early cars but then removed. You can see the handbooks on the service.citroen site http://service.citroen.com/ddb/ Quote
Sloppysod Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Hi, I never got a handbook with the and have had to download one from the http://service.citroen.com/ddb/ website, and page 8 shows the memory buttons and a number pointing to number 2 with the comment " Memorisation of driver’s seat, rear view mirrors and air conditioning settings " and but mine only does seat & heating. Also page 58 states " In reverse gear: adjustment of the indexed positions for the passenger’s and driver’s rear view mirrors " and this book was supposed to be the one for a 2011 model. So I am now very confused and will continue digging. Quote
paul.h Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Sometimes people have found a missing handbook in a drawer under one of the front seats. Quote
Parkesie Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 My 08 exclusive tourer changes the mirror positions with the seat memory. When selecting reverse it will move the r/h mirror or decide it dosnt want to or occasionally the l/h mirror. I just put it down to it being a citroen. Quote
Sloppysod Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Paul, It would have been nice to have drawers under the seat!! one of the things I miss from my C4.Parkesie - Thanks for the information, much like my mk 1 did as it got older. Quote
nightmare Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 The indexing function is NOT available on 2011 cars as the latest software doesn't have it, it cannot be activated even by citroen's diagnostics. We'll just have to "rely" on the parking sensors and manually adjusting the mirror when reversing. They call this "progress"!!! Quote
