ntbl66 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 my cooling fan has stopped working. when i bought the car the fan was not working 2.0 petrol, i then cleaned all the pins on the relays still not working , then checked the fan itself and it was seized up . so i then replaced it and it worked fine then , unfortunately it stopped working the other day, i have checked the relays again they ok and the fan works ok if you power it direct so no problem with that , just wondering if their could be another fix someone could help me out with ,, Quote
paul.h Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Welcome to the forum. What year is the car ? It is not normal for the engine fan to run all the time, is the engine overheating ? You could do a diagnostic check with a code reader that gives live data to see if the engine temperature is high enough for the fan to run, should probably start at about 96°C and stop when the temperature has dropped down about 2°C.
