Hello everyone - Have had my new C1 Airscape for two weeks now, so excited to finally pick it up after waiting since February.  But am very disappointed with the drive - when I pull away in first gear I get a dangerous little flat spot before it springs into action.  At first I thought it was my driving - I have just traded in my old C1 998cc and this new 1.2 is certainly more racey.  But after confirmation by my husband driving it, he confirmed that it wasnt me but seem to be an engine problem.  We droppped in to see our Citroen Sales man and he took it for a drive - he drove it as though it was a Ferarri and managed not to get the problem initially, then once he calmed down it did it to him as well.  So we all went out in the demo car from the forecourt and it did it again - so he has told me to drive it differently and it might change with age!  Im not too happy about that because my old C1 was a doddle to drive and as much as I absolutly love my new Airscape it makes it hard work instead of a pleasure!

Has anyone else had similar problems?  Do you think I should contact the service department?  Would love to hear your views.

Welcome to the forum.

This does not seem normal for any car so definately get it looked at and do not try to live with it.

These reviews of the car suggests it may suffer from flat spots and also it may have hill start assist which could have something to do with setting off and holding the brakes on a bit http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/citroen/c1/first-drives/2014-citroen-c1-first-drive-review http://petrolblog.com/2014/07/citroen-c1-v-peugeot-108/
