hi I have a MK1 C5 VTR that was originally fitted with auto lights and wipers, Thing is at some point the windscreen has been replaced and the original sensor was changed as MK1 sensors were round in shape the new glass has a rectangular sensor ( part no. 9647694480 ) this is just a rain sensor! the Citroen dealer is only giving me the part no. for the originally installed part that is no longer built ! can anybody tell me what the part no. that corresponds to upgrade my installed part to the original auto lights/ wipers ! Thanks guys

It may be Citroen part 659100 and from citroencarparts.net is £55.83 but you should check this using your VIN. Have you checked if the auto lights just needs switching on which is something like turn on the ignition and hold in the button on the end of the lighting stalk.

thanks Paul but that's the part number for the original part! Citroen list it as NLA it's a round sensor also known as 6405y5 the old rain sensor was 6500N5 what I need is a rectangular part ! I'd post a picture but I haven't worked out how to do that yet! thanks tough!

You could explore the Citroen parts daigrams to see if you can find the latest part no. This can be done as a free service on the service.citroen site if you register as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club. I found the original part no. under electrical and headlights for the mark 1 C5 but could not find one for the mark 2 C5. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres You can use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car.

To show a photo on the forum it first needs to be on another site and then a link put in the post.
